7:00 - Homecoming football game at BC. Are you ready for some football? Like the song? The fightin’ Golden Eagles are now under the leadership of head coach Dusty Trail, and are undefeated as I type this. South High is our opponent. Man, I hate those guys! Anyway, no special instructions for this one, just show up and buy a ticket and sit down next to someone you want to sit next to and watch sports.
10:00 - Food and drinks at Twelve Restaurant, 12111 W Maple St. If did not RSVP by sending me $10 via check or the internet, the restaurant will charge $10 to your tab. AT THIS POINT, RSVPs ARE NO LONGER NECESSARY. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ME ANY MORE MONEY. IF YOU DID NOT RSVP, YOU CAN STILL COME, JUST EXPECT TO PAY THE $10 WHEN YOU ARRIVE. There will be pizza, wings, dips, mini cheesecake and brownie bites -- you know, apps and finger foods? It’s a cash bar: $3 wells, $3 drafts, $2 domestics, and $5 house wine. We’ll be talking, eating, drinking, and listening to a chronological playlist of pop songs from 1993 through 1997.
Saturday, October 7
12:00 - 3:00 - The “new” athletic complex, not the concrete cave, will be open for our use. I would like to play some hoops or at least shoot around, and others have suggested bringing card games or board games. So, bring whatever you’d like (games, basketballs, non-marking athletic shoes), and I’m sure it will all work out beautifully.
3:00 - A tour of BC provided by Leticia “Tish” Nielsen. Meet in the foyer/atrium of the athletic complex.
5:00 - Father Adam Keiter will reserve seats for our class at the 5 pm mass at the Cathedral.
